they have also won the prize of 4000 dirhams

Vendredi 8 mars dernier
le Monde célébrait La Femme
avec l'International Women's Day.
L'Institut Français des Emirats,
qui dépend de l'Ambassade à Abu Dhabi,
a contacté
en tant qu'équipe francophone de volley
pour savoir si nous pourrions travailler en collaboration
avec eux, ou plutôt elles, dans ce cas précis,
afin d'organiser un évènement commun.
Nous leur avons proposé
un tournoi féminin de volley.
Paris-Sorbonne Abu Dhabi
a mis son magnifique gymnase à notre disposition.
L'Ambassade de France et la Bank of Sharjah
ont sponsorisé le tout
et Enthusiastic a relevé le défi.
Le vendredi matin,
nous avons tout préparé, dès 9 heures,
avant l'arrivée des autres équipes
que nous avions invitées
et qui étaient très contentes de participer sportivement
et financièrement au soutien des Ewaa sheltersCinq équipes se sont affrontées
dans la bonne humeur générale
mais avec la même envie de gagner.
Ce sont nos copines philippines
de Power Extreme
qui ont remporté le magnifique trophée offert par l'Institut français
Enthusiastic a perdu en finale
et a offert le trophée au Dr Hiam
(représentante légale d'Ewaa)
Etoo
a remporté un match contre les étudiantes de la Sorbonne
Dès la fin de la remise des prix,
nous nous sommes changées après ces heures passées sur les terrains
pour revêtir notre beau maillot
(rouge pour Enthusiastic et noir pour Etoo)
afin de participer au vernissage
d'artistes francophones
dans le lobby du
Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche
organisé par l'Institut français
et surtout en ce qui nous concernait
pour être au côté des peintures réalisées par les victimes du refuge.
Plusieurs personnalités ont prononcé des discours,
notamment l'Ambassadeur de France,
et la présidente des Ewaa Shelters
Madame Sara Shuheil
Les deux n'ont pas manqué de souligner l'engagement
d'Enthusiastic envers les refuges

mais toutes francophones
Every year, on the 8th of March
the World celebrates
the International Women's Day !
As a ladies team,
will be part of the event
organizing
a one day volley-ball tournament
in Paris-Sorbonne University
with the support of
L'Institut Français d'Abu Dhabi
and then supporting
during the painting exhibition
at the Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche.
The first francophone team in the UAE,
has been invited to play a friendly game against
the UAE national team
on February 25th in Dubai,
at Al Shabab club.
The atmosphere was friendly and
the Enthusiastic
received a warm welcome from the club
and the UAE team commitee.
The match was an even fought contest
the Enthusiastic
showed their best volley ball for that wonderful occasion.
They even won the first set 25-15
but in the end the UAE national team just pulled through
a victory : 25-18 and 25-12.
The UAE national team is the last GCC CUP champion
held in Dubaï last year.

after winning over Team PowerXtreme,
2 - 1
Whatever the results of their next game against Etoo,
on the 1st of March,
Enthusiastic will finish 3rd of the Inspire league
and will play the semi finals on the 15th of March.
